Head Coach: Tom Cheviot

Welcome! I am thrilled to have you! Allow me to introduce myself; my names  Tom Cheviot I am the owner and head instructor of Virtue. I am a passionate martial artist with an extensive background in Brazilian Jiu jitsu, Muay Thai, and Mixed Martial Arts. With 15 years of experience in both competition and teaching, I have dedicated my life to mastering these disciplines and sharing my knowledge.

Throughout my journey, I have had the privilege of training with some of the most renowned instructors and competing against talented athletes from around the world. These experiences have not only shaped me as a martial artist but also as an individual committed to personal growth and development.

As an instructor I have guided and empowered students of all ages and skill levels. Witnessing their progress, both on and off the mats, has been incredibly rewarding. I firmly believe that martial arts not only strengthen our bodies but also foster resilience, self-confidence, and a sense of community.

Prior to starting Virtue Martial Arts, I also worked as a social worker in Massachusetts for 7 years. This invaluable experience allowed me to connect with diverse at-risk communities and people during challenging times in their lives. This taught me the importance of compassion, empathy, and the profound impact we can have on others lives.

Combining my expertise in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, Mixed Martial Arts, and my background in social work, I strive to create a unique learning environment that goes beyond physical techniques. My teaching approach focuses on holistic development, emphasizing mental fortitude, self-awareness, and a positive mindset.

Whether you are a seasoned martial artist seeking to refine your skills or a beginner taking your first steps into this captivating world, I am here to guide and support you on your journey. Join me as we embark on an exciting path of growth, self discovery, and empowerment through martial arts!
